Bridge Cottage

Bridge Cottage is Port Sunlight’s community hub: a home for events, meetings, clubs, chat, and plenty of tea and cake. This is a place where local residents and the wider community can feel at home, and get to know one another.

We hold regular coffee mornings, baby and toddler sessions, Art classes, games groups and much more.  With flexible meeting space, a well equipped craft studio, a garden with wheelchair access, and our stunning Edwardian style study which is now a vintage shop, there is room for everyone.

The house has a rich history and s tory to tell in every room, it’s a desirable venue for talks, tours and heritage events. Lord Leverhulme, the founder of Port Sunlight, was Bridge Cottage’s very first occupant. The house attracts visitors from across the world, and has been used as a film location many times.
