Port Sunlight Garden Competition Winners 2021

Port Sunlight Garden Competition returns for an outstanding year of horticultural displays.

Port Sunlight is well known for its outstanding beauty, with its manicured lawns, rose gardens and carefully curated floral displays, creating an eye catching yet tranquil environment for visitors and residents to enjoy. In addition to this, we recognise the contribution that the community makes to the overall vista, adorning their homes with outstanding floral displays for all to see and admire. Over the last year we’ve seen how gardening has become a lifeline to some, supporting wellbeing and our mental health. We’ve seen people coming together, swapping plants, helping neighbours with their gardens and discovering a new found interest for growing fruit and veg. It’s no wonder that this year it was incredibly difficult for our guest judge and PSVT landscape employee Viki Smith to pick the winners, hence the addition of two highly commended awards for each category.

This year judging took place over the last week of July and the first week of August, with awards presented to the winners during September, unfortunately we were unable to hold the annual awards ceremony ‘Blow your own Trumpet’ this year, but we surprised the winners on their doorsteps.  Special thanks to Port Sunlight Garden Centre for their continued support and generosity, by donating the prizes and enabling us to continue this village wide community event.
